Petite pièce dans la machine à hype.
Du leakeur originel (en contact avec un membre du staff, confirmé par Italo/ a annoncé la tournée en février avant la création de la société, un album et la tournée américaine)
o clarify, the source originally said the EU dates, said there would be an album, and then a US leg.
the core of this hasn’t changed, only the timing. What was said as 2026 definitively is now “late 2026/2027,” which would align with any marketing, mastering, productions, etc.
my source made a point of saying he was with the “inner circle” right now in MAINE” and made a point to capitalize that.
For prepping tours, a year out isn’t unfathomable, but with the economy and political environment in the US right now, tours are a little slower to build up because of ever-fluctuating costs.
If I had to bet, I’d say this first series is a trial, they’re sitting on a near finished product, they want to drum up hype for themselves again live and potentially test materials.
It’s natural at that point, once the buzz is achieved, to bring a new album into the fold and do a more proper tour with a little more lead way into it.
Tous les albums de Radiohead sont masterisés à Portland.

Maine is where Gateway Mastering had been for a number of years…

Last 2 Smile albums were mastered in New Jersey
Bob Ludwig who did Radiohead and the first Smile record and is honestly the most prestigious mastering engineer of all time retired in 2023, he was the one with the studio in Portland, ME
His protege Adam Ayan runs Gateway Mastering now in Maine but hasn’t worked with RH or Thom or anyone yet.
