October 24th, 2024 - Thom does an interview with Télérama which is published in French, and is roughly translated as follows: Interviewer: “Sorry for the question: eight years since Radiohead's last album… is a comeback possible?” Thom: “You don't have to apologize, it's your job to ask. Unfortunately, I can't offer a satisfactory answer, since I have nothing concrete to say. It's a complete blank in my mind.”
The last line “C’est même le vide dans mon esprit” literally means “It’s even emptiness in my mind,” but idiomatically it conveys:
-My mind is completely blank.
-I have absolutely no idea.
-I’m drawing a total blank.
February 20th, 2025 - Ed gives a talk in Belém and casually mentions having just finished a record. He said: “So what I would do, we have a house in Wales in the hills and it’s again, a very old part of Britain, very beautiful, where nature dominates, and I went up there and I healed and nature is my healer, it’s our healer. So me as a musician… and I was writing, so I’d just finished another record, and this music is all about the power of nature, this incredible planet we live on.”
Typical rambling Ed, but the way I interpret what he’s saying is: I was depressed. I went to Wales where I could write—which was just after I finished another record. So I now had time to focus on me and healing in nature.
March 10th, 2025 - RHEUK25 LLP is formed for the 2025 European tour.
April 2025 - Colin records a podcast with Adam Buxton (later released in September 2025), where he implies they won’t be road testing any new songs, which is different than saying they won’t be playing any new songs.
“And we're going to be playing everything, stuff from the first record all the way through to now. So yeah, it's going to be the first time I think we've done shows where we haven't got new material to play as work in progress. But you never know, some stuff might come up or not or whatever, so.”
May 2nd, 2025 - In a now-deleted post by a now-deleted account, a redditor makes a thread in r/radiohead titled “YSK: Kenny Beats is co producing the new album with Nigel”. Some brush this aside as confusing LP10 with a new Idles record, which Mr. Godrich and Mr. Beats are confirmed to be co-producing.
June 28th, 2025 - Stanley Donwood starts posting new unseen art daily and followers start thinking this is some sort of roll out due to frequency and newness of motifs.
July 2nd, 2025 - Toasty’s source indicates internal strife within the band and that the tour announcement has now been delayed as they figure out if they want to move forward.
August 22nd, 2025 - Toasty’s source says that “all came to Portland” and assumptions were made that they went to master a recording and not for a lobster festival. Bob Ludwig, who had mastered multiple Radiohead albums in the past, is now retired and closed Gateway Mastering, but his two protégés have since opened their own mastering studios: Adam Ayan owns Ayan Mastering a few blocks away from where Gateway was located, and Brian Lee opened Waygate Mastering, also in Portland.
August 22nd, 2025 - Thom is asked by Wallpaper.com “when Radiohead are getting back into the studio” to which he replies “I have no idea. Not on the cards from where I'm sitting.”
September 3rd, 2025 - Euro tour announced just two months shy of its first show in Madrid.
September 16th, 2025 - Zane, who has provided correct information about session musicians playing with Radiohead in the past, says a trombonist he knows is booked for a session with Thom Yorke. Zane asks if it was for Radiohead and his friend said he didn’t know.
September 23rd, 2025 - Has It Leaked posts “There is indeed a new Radiohead album coming.”
September 30th, 2025 - Our Lord and Savior, Fitzcarraldo, posts “Yep, I heard something about LP10 in the last few weeks.” A week and a half later, he says “LP10 actually exists. Nigel didn't produce it. Nigel is out of the picture.”
October 3rd, 2025 - A frequent poster on Steve Hoffman forums named deadbirdie posts in their Radiohead thread “Just heard a rumor from an insider that a new Radiohead album is imminent. Cross your fingers!” This person has been a member of Steve Hoffman forums since 2006 and was not called a troll or liar by other members, so take that for what you will.
October 22nd, 2025 - Mojib, an admin for Has It Leaked is asked on Discord if the new Radiohead album is done to which he replies “No, I know for a fact it’s not done.” That same day, Has It Leaked posts “Thom Yorke has the art director set for the album. A big deal since Radiohead is an art driven band.” And thus, a new meme is born.
February 18th, 2026 - Jonny gives an interview to The Times, wherein he’s quoted as saying “… I found it strange not to be doing anything new on the tour. I guess we are all doing new music elsewhere now so that’s where our creative energies are going.” And when asked if a new Radiohead album is unlikely, he says “I’ve no idea. I mean, I’m surprised that the tour actually happened and that we all enjoyed it so much.”
February 19th, 2026 - All 5 Radiohead members form a new company called “Futile Endeavours LTD”. Radiohead historically use Limited companies for albums, and Limited Liability Partnerships for touring.
