Stan and Thom had an idea to make the art look like a bad restoration job of classical art you see in churches in Europe. Stan would do a first pass doing detailed art, Thom would come after and do the “weathering,” and then Stan would do a shitty restoration job on it. (Maybe that fits with the second piece of art … not sure.)

They started when The Smile was in Abbey Road in March, and have done 10 pieces as of June.

Stan was set up in a room to paint where he could hear and see the band recording via speakers and monitors.

They did mention the artwork will be “similar but different” from the first album.


Sur le lien instagram figurant sur le topic reddit, il y a un autre artwork qui fait très back cover ou sleeve.
Ils feront une expo nommée « The crow flies » en septembre avec leur travail durant l’enregistrement.
Bref une sortie d’ici l’automne est très probable à mon avis.
