Penderecki is coming to London this week, with the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra . They're going to play the music on the recording we've just released together.

To hear him conduct Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima and Polymorphia with this wonderful Polish orchestra is a really magical experience, so if you're in London on Thursday, perhaps you'd like to come along.....

Hi, and here's the first record for the summer! I was chuffed when Kathryn asked me to play on it, it's a lovely thing, and heralds bright days and warm nights. Kieran ' Fourtet' Hebden is at the controls, and Giles Petersen has picked ' She Was Out in the Water ' to play on BBC Radio 6.

It comes out next week, Monday May 7th.

You can pre - order it on Itunes

You can get the cd from Boomkat

There are two tracks streaming on Soundcloud, and the whole record's going up to Soundcloud next week.

Dot Connectors

I was very sad to hear the news of Adam Yauch's death yesterday.
We looked up to the Beastie Boys a lot when we were starting out and how they maintained artistic control making wicked records but still were on a major label, and the Tibetan Freedom Concerts they organized had a very big influence on me personally and the way Adam conducted himself and dealt with it all impressed me a lot. He was a mellow and v smart guy. May he rest in peace.

On another note check this out> people connecting the dots of our weird weather patterns, though the climate change deniers still frantically shout their voice is getting quieter.

Lost Angeles

The exhibition by Stanley Donwood, LOST ANGELES, is now in its LAST week.
See the City of Angels being destroyed by fire, flood and meteor storm, all in a quasi-Mediaeval style!
Marvel at a work of art so long that a special curved wall had to be built for it!
Covet artwork made with 24ct gold leaf!
Also showing is LONDON VIEWS, the original work that ended up as the cover of THE ERASER.
Both Los Angeles AND London destroyed! In the same room! Et cetera.
LOST ANGELES: APRIL 28 - MAY 26 2012, SUBLIMINAL PROJECTS GALLERY
1331 WEST SUNSET BOULEVARD, LOS ANGELES, CA 90026, USA

Atoms for Peace
You may have heard that I have a new project called Atoms for Peace.

The name comes from some shows of The Eraser that happened a couple of years ago with Mauro, Joey, Nigel and Flea.

We got a big buzz from them and discovered loads of energy from transforming the music from electronic to live, and so afterwards, we carried on for a few days in the studio and decided to make it a loose, on-going thing.
Immersed in the area between the two…electronic and live.

The first tune we'd like you to hear is Default
A 12" vinyl version will follow next month and an album will eventually follow that next year.

c'est vachement environment friendly et décroissant de lancer des chaînes de production et de distribution de 12" à chaque petit titre qui sort...

greenpeace - save the arctic

Hey
We are bringing Greenpeace on the road with us..
We support their campaign to save the Arctic from oil drilling and mining as the ice get thinner through global warming.
Drawing a line somewhere in the ice saying, ok that's enough, no further. The madness stops here. Break this spell.
If you are coming along i hope you can get time to go and talk to them.

Best wishesish
