Après des mois d'attente et d'incertitude, c'est finalement via un message tout simple sur le blog du groupe que Jonny a mis fin au suspens entourant la sortie du très attendu 7ème album de Radiohead.

Voici un récapitulatif de toutes les informations dont nous disposons pour l'instant.

L'album s'appelle In Rainbows.

Cet album sera disponible en téléchargement sur le site officiel du groupe dès le 10 octobre.

Le consommateur sera libre de fixer lui même le prix qu'il désire mettre.
Ce choix a immédiatement fait l'effet d'une bombe dans le milieu de l'industrie de la musique.
Certains y voient un immense coup de pub pour booster les ventes du coffret collector, d'autres un excellent moyen de ne plus cautionner une façon archaïque de vendre de la musique.

Dès le 3 décembre, on pourra donc également recevoir une discbox pour le prix de 57 euros.

Elle contiendra

    - In rainbows en version téléchargeable, cd et double vinyle.

    - un cd bonus avec de nouveaux titres :

        Bangers and mash

La discbox contiendra aussi un livret avec les paroles, des artworks et des photos.

Pour ceux qui trouvent le prix de la discbox excessif mais qui ne veulent pas se contenter de la version digitale, le cd devrait sortir de façon traditionnelle en début d'année prochaine.
